Internet Explorer 8 Released

Yes, yes, yes! And don’t con­fuse this with another install­ment of the browser that has made most web developers/designers live’s abso­lute misery — this is actu­ally a browser that may make you smile for joy! There’s a big emphasis on web stand­ards but as I’ve only just got my down­load, I’m unable to com­ment on how suc­cess­ful they’ve done it.

    There’s def­in­itely some good changes made and there’s clearly a big push on help­ing the developer which I can’t say no to.

    Unfor­tu­nately, some sites do break (Dell’s UK site, for instance) but there’s a an “Emu­late IE7” but­ton which, after a browser restart, emu­lates IE7.
